Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is a combination of her three forms viz. Mata Maha Saraswati, Mata Maha Lakshmi and Mata Maha Kali, which are manifested by the three Holy Pindis. As represented by our logo, from left to right are the Holy Pindis of Mata Maha Saraswati, Mata Maha Lakshmi and Mata Maha Kali in white, yellow and black respectively.
Each of these forms represents particular attributes of human beings.Maha Kali represents Tam Guna: Tam stands for darkness or ungodliness. It represents the attribute to never lose heart and constantly battle the forces of darkness till they prevail upon them.
Maha Lakshmi represents Raj Guna : Raj stands for sustenance, prosperity and well being. It represents the attribute to lead a comfortable and happy life through wealth and prosperity.
Maha Saraswati represents Satva Guna : Satva stands for purity and goodness. It represents the attribute to possess pure thoughts and a high intellect that helps people to distinguish between the good and the bad, between righteousness and unrighteousness and to adopt the correct path in life.
Each person on earth contains the attributes of Tam Guna, Raj Guna and Satva Guna in some degree or the other. His or her behavior is therefore, conditioned by the attribute that is predominant. However, to lead a full and meaningful life a balance has to be struck amongst the three. This balance is extremely difficult to achieve.
Through Vaishno Group of Colleges (Should be a hyperlink linking to www.vgoc.in) which are concern of Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society, its management determines to inculcate a balanced amalgamate of the three Guns i.e Tam Guna, Raj Guna and Satva Guna in the students so that they can lead a full and meaningful life and hence can contribute in the development of the Nation and Mankind at large.

Justice K.K. Gupta (Retd.): Founder and Chairman
Known by the name of ‘Gandhi Ji’ in his neighborhood for his honesty and helping nature, Justice K.K Gupta always had zeal to serve the nation with which he entered into the Judiciary system of India. During his tenure he has passed many judgments that has helped the society and contributed to the development of the nation. Continuing his endeavor to add value to the nation, he founded Mata Vaishno Devi Educational Society, Thapkour and he extended his guidance and support for the successful establishment of Vaishno College of Engineering. He is also the founder and trustee of Institute of Dental Sciences which is the only private dental college in J&K state. He has shown the vision “To empower its students and staff to contribute in Nation building process and development of Society at large. To become a portal of learning, research, entrepreneurial development in Engineering Sciences” to the college and has inspired and motivated the entire management and the staff to work dedicatedly towards its successful achievement.
Advocate Ranjeet Singh Pathania: Founder and President
Descendent of the freedom fighter, Sh. Vajir Ram Singh Pathania, Advocate Ranjeet Singh Pathania has inherited the instinct to serve the nation by contributing to its development. He has helped the people of Himachal Pradesh especially Kangra District in many ways and for which he has been given the position of President of BJP for the Kangra District. Also a renowned businessman of Himachal Pradesh, this enthusiastic leader has left no stone unturned for the development of Kangra District. He has made yet another mark with the start of Vaishno College of Engineering and will continue his pursuit by establishing world class institutes for providing the best quality education.
Er. Sunil Gupta: Founder and Vice President
Er. Sunil Gupta graduated from one of the finest institutes of India, REC Rourkela in the Electrical Engineering branch. Taking forward the pursuit of his father Justice K.K Gupta to serve the society and nation, he joined the PDD department of J&K and is serving there as an Executive Engineer. This dynamic and exuberant Vice President of Vaishno College of Engineering made the first mark in the field of education by founding Institute of Dental Sciences which is the only private Dental College in J&K state. His determination to inculcate the knowledge and skills in the students required for government sector has driven him to establish Vaishno College of Engineering.
Er. Varun Gupta : Director and Promoter
An engineering graduate in IT, Varun Gupta was absorbed as a software engineer in one of the biggest IT firms in the world because of his commendable track during his graduation. After getting adequate exposure and experience of the industry he established a recruitment firm named Coalescent Technologies Pvt. Ltd. with a vision to serve the society by providing the right opportunity to the students across India. This young and dynamic director of Vaishno College of Engineering has inherited the zeal to serve the society and nation from his Grandfather Justice K.K Gupta, father Mr. Sunil Gupta, mother Mrs. Ritu Gupta who have achieved various milestones in their endeavor to serve the society. He is well synchronized with the vision and mission of the society and has a firm determination to accomplish them by amalgamating his experience and contacts of the industry. His firm determination is to empower and equip the students of this college with the right and accurate skill and knowledge which are required to become a valuable part of the renowned firms of their related industry.
Er. Rahul Pathania, Director and Promotor
Adding to the highly educated and experienced team of Vaishno College of Engineering, Er. Rahul Pathania holds an engineering degree in the field of Information Technology. After completing his degree from University of Ballarat in Australia, he determined to follow the footsteps of his father Sh. Ranjeet Singh Pathania to contribute in the development of the society and nation. Having worked in the top Multi National Company – Citibank in Networking and Security domain, he has a key role in uplifting the quality of education in Himachal Pradesh by introducing new methods and techniques learnt from the Hi-Tech work culture of Australia.
